Marc-Antoine Arnaud

Graduate with an audiovisual professional master's degree and a research master's degree in telecommunications at the University of Valenciennes, Marc-Antoine focused on optimizing the H.264 video encoding in the laboratory of the Ecole Centrale of Paris and Telecom Paris Tech, as part of Sebastian2 research project.

He joined the R&D of Mikros Image in 2011 and since then participated to various projects on image and sound signal processing and file management for broadcast formats.

He also took part in the development of an application for encoding and sending advertisements in Belgium . He ‘s an active contributor to the task force regarding the generation of a central exchange file for broadcast mastering. Nicolas Barcet

Nick has joined eNovance, an OpenStack Gold member, on December 10 2012 as VP of Products. Nick is also a director on the boards of the OpenStack Foundation, the Open Cloud Initiative and Upstream University. Nick founded the Ceilometer project at the Folsom summit to handle centralized metering on OpenStack, and has been project leading it for its first year. Ceilometer is now an integratied project for habana and its scope is extended to metrics collection in general, metering and alerting. eNovance main strategy is based on OpenStack, which means that Nick will continue being involved heavily on this project. Until December 2012, Nick was working for Canonical which he had joined in September 2007. Since 2009 he was in charge Cloud product management worldwide (Ubuntu Cloud). As a product Manager, he helped organizations (Canonical, customers and partners) define their cloud strategy and build their own cloud infrastructures. This includes working with Dell, Rackspace, Intel, Amazon and others for defining new ways to offer Canonical's services in the cloud. Prior to joining eNovance, Nick was Ubuntu Server Product Manager, focusing on bringing together the requirements that Ubuntu users have in order to make Ubuntu Server the easiest platform to deploy in business, enterprises and Internet data centers. Jean-Luc Beylat est Président d’Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs France.

Vice-Président du Pôle de compétitivité mondial Systematic Paris-Region, en charge du Développement International et de la Stratégie, il est élu Président du pôle le 15 juin 2011.

Jean-Luc rejoint Alcatel en 1984 et travaille sept ans sur les lasers à semi-conducteurs au centre de recherche Alcatel à Marcoussis. En 1992, il lance les activités de transmissions multiplexées en longueur d’onde (WDM) d’Alcatel et dirige également un groupe de recherche sur l’amplification optique. En 1996, il est nommé Directeur du département systèmes et réseaux optiques du centre de recherche Alcatel, responsable au niveau mondial des activités de recherche en transmissions terrestre et sous-marine. En 2000, il rejoint le groupe d’activités Optique d’Alcatel en tant que directeur de programme puis de Vice-président des solutions réseaux. Dans cette fonction, il est un contributeur clé de l’évolution de la ligne de produit optique vers une optimisation des coûts et du contenu data, aidant ainsi Alcatel à maintenir sa position de numéro un mondial dans le domaine des réseaux optiques depuis 2001. En novembre 2005, Jean-Luc rejoint l’équipe du CTO d’Alcatel pour développer les partenariats en R&D. Avant d’accéder au poste de Président d’Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs France, il était Vice-président en charge des programmes de partenariats R&D stratégiques d’Alcatel-Lucent, avant de devenir Vice-président en charge des partenariats industriels pour Bell Labs.

Jean-Luc Beylat est titulaire d’un doctorat de physique sur les lasers semi-conducteurs et leurs applications de l’Université Pierre et Marie Curie.

Gaël Blondelle has a strong experience in Open Source, and more specifically in communities like OW2 and Eclipse. Until recently he was Open Source Business Developer at Obeo and represented the company in the Eclipse Modeling Working Group. Gaël is currently JUG leader in Toulouse JUG. He co-founded Petals Link in 2004, the company which supports the OW2 projects for SOA : Petals ESB and Petals Master. Gaël acted as CTO of Petals Link until 2010.

From 2007 to 2010, he was Chairman of the Technology Council at the OW2 consortium, the global open source consortium for Middleware.

Since he started in the software industry in 1996, he has been working mainly in Telco, Java and SOA Technologies. Après un doctorat en cryptographie, M. Bournon a commencé sa carrière en 1995 comme expert en cryptographie au sein des services du Premier Ministre français (SCSSI) puis comme responsable de l’activité conseil en sécurité des systèmes d’information du Secrétariat général de la défense nationale (SGDN/DCSSI).

Il est l’auteur et coauteur de contributions normatives en termes de gestion des risques et de politique de sécurité, de profils de protection, de politiques portant sur la gestion des clés et les messageries sécurisées. En particulier, il a assuré la conduite de plusieurs travaux sur l’infogérance, l’interopérabilité, la défense en profondeur des systèmes d’information, la signature électronique, horodatage et l’archivage.

M. Bournon est Directeur des Systèmes d’Information du groupe Morpho (groupe SAFRAN) depuis sa création en juillet 2007 (Chiffres d’affaires 2010 : 1041 M€, effectifs : 5600 personnes dans plus de 30 pays).

Philippe Desmaison is Linux Technical Leader of SUSE in France. He is in charge of technical and presales aspects for the SUSE Linux Neterprise product line.

Graduated of UTC Compiègne Engineer University, he began his career in Digital Equipment (DEC). Then, he was involved in the success of Sun Microsystems on the Java J2EE and Solaris technologies.

Philippe joined Novell/SUSE in 2004 and is a technical actor of the growth of SUSE Linux Enterprise in France, with projects like Peugeot Citroen (20 000 SUSE Desktop, 2 500 Servers), Renault, HSBC, DGAC, Total ... With the growing business of SUSE Linux in France, he was involved in many Unix to Linux migration projects. Roberto Di Cosmo

Roberto Di Cosmo is a computer scientist and director of IRILL, the Innovation and research initiative for free software (French: Initiative pour la Recherche et l'Innovation sur le Logiciel Libre).

He graduated from the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa and has a PhD from the University of Pisa, before becoming tenured professor at the École normale supérieure in Paris, then professor at the Paris 7 University.

Di Cosmo was an early member of the AFUL, association of the French community of Linux and Free Software users, he's also known for his support in the Open Source Software movement.

He became famous after releasing a paper against Microsoft in 1998 : Piège dans le cyberespace (Hijacking the world, the dark side of Microsoft).[1] Co-written with the journalist Dominique Nora, this book is now freely available under Creative Commons licence BY-NC-ND. His most famous contributions to Linux is also the first « live » linux distribution (2000 to 2002) : demolinux, making possible to boot Linux from a CD-ROM, without setting up the entire distribution.

He was one of the founders, and the first president, of the Open Source Thematic Group within the Systematic innovation cluster.

In his last job, Emmanuel was the GISI Interactive CIO. GISI is the IT division of Infopro Group a French B2B media group with online and offline activities. Emmanuel initiated and led a project at GISI to provide a better quality of online activities. In 2008, he and his team succeeded in developing advanced software which allows Infopro Group to run many strategic applications that represent several tens of millions of dollars in yearly revenues for them.

Emmanuel left this position in December 2009, made a deal to acquire the software, and found a new company to launch OpenSearchServer, an open source search engine application. In this project, as CEO, he is in charge of all technical and programming activities as well as the business development.

In his 15 years career, Emmanuel has held every position in programming teams, including managing a team of 25 engineers. Since a very young age, Emmanuel has been fond of programming and for him creating software always brings advantages and adds more value for users.

François Pellegrini

François Pellegrini is professor in informatics at Université Bordeaux 1, and researcher at LaBRI and Inria Bordeaux Sud-Ouest. He is the chairman of Aquinetic, a nonprofit that promotes and operates a regional pole of scientific, technical and industrial know-how for open and free innovation in Aquitaine. He is since long the vice-president of ABUL, the free software promotion association of Bordeaux, which is involved in major free software projects such as AbulEdu, an integrated digital environment for schools, and the Libre Software Meeting. He co-founded this event, launched on July 2000 at ENSEIRB, and presided the program committee of the first three editions.

François Pellegrini is active on various issues regarding informatics and society, and advises several European and French MPs. He worked for Michel Rocard on the European directive on software patentability, for which he was heard by the Legal Committee of the European Parliament. He was heard, at Assemblée Nationale and Sénat, by the rapporteurs of bills DADVSI and HADOPI.

He authored a report on electronic voting in the context of French Senate elections of 2006. He is regularly commissioned as an expert on free software and software technologies by Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie. As an amateur of scientific vulgarization, he participates in many events and debates and he presented, for three years, a weekly Internet chronicle on TV7, the local television channel of the Bordeaux area. Together with Sébastien Canevet, he wrote a book on software law (including free software licenses), to appear on November 2013.

The CV Marc Pennamen is an alumnus of the Naval School (promotion 1985). After a first command of ships of surface in 1991, he joins the submarine forces where he held mainly operational positions until the year 2001. Licenced from the upper military education in 2002, he is named as officer of the programs of the satellite's imaging Hélios in the general staff of the army. From 2006 till 2007, he commands a frigate of surveillance in the Indian Ocean. Dana Petcu

Dana Petcu is Professor at Computer Science Department of West University of Timisoara, and CEO of the research Institute e-Austria Timisoara (Romania). Uroš Petrevski

Designer - hacker, Uroš constructs his project ethics on the passion, enthusiasm and permanent exploration of technologies. Simon Phipps

Simon Phipps is an independent consultant providing insight and knowledge on open source to businesses and governments worldwide through his company Meshed Insights Ltd. He is also pro bono President of the Open Source Initiative, the non-profit organisation that advocates for open source software and builds bridges between open source communities and maintains the canonical list of open source licenses, as well as interim CEO of the MariaDB Foundation. His writing is featured in InfoWorld, ComputerWorld, O’Reilly Radar and other publications. He is a pro bono director of the UK’s Open Rights Group as well as on the advisory board of Open Source for America.

Before his current work, he was involved at a strategic level in some of the world’s leading technology companies. In addition to senior leadership positions he has worked in such hands-on roles as field engineer, programmer and systems analyst, as well as run a software publishing company. He worked with OSI standards in the eighties, on the first commercial collaborative conferencing software in the nineties, and helped introduce both Java and XML at IBM. He was a founding Director of the Open Mobile Alliance.

In mid-2000 he joined Sun Microsystems where he helped pioneer Sun’s employee blogging, social media and community engagement programmes. In 2005 he was appointed Chief Open Source Officer, coordinating Sun’s extensive participation in Free and Open Source software communities until he left in 2010. In that role he oversaw the conversion to Free software of the full Java platform, the Solaris UNIX operating system, the SPARC architecture and the rest of Sun’s broad software portfolio, all under OSI-approved Free licenses.

Pierre Queinnec

Pierre Queinnec has founded or held executive positions in both software vendors and professional services companies. Recently, he was co-founder and CTO of Zenika, one of the leading providers of professional Java Open Source services in France, providing consulting, development, training and support for the world’s leading Open Source Java software products.

Pierre has been involved in Free Software and Open Source for more than a decade, and has contributed to very diverse Open Source projects. Most recently Pierre has been involved in the Eclipse DTP project. Prior to that, he used to be an OpenDarwin member, and still acts as maintainer on some ports in the now renamed MacPorts. Jean-Baptiste Roger

Jean-Baptiste Roger est, depuis 2012, le directeur de La Fonderie, l’agence numérique de la Région Île-de-France. Diplômé en Histoire et Science politique, il enchainé les expériences. Il a, notamment, enseigné l’Histoire-Géographie dans un collège de banlieue, a été responsable d’une association humanitaire et est intervenu au Rwanda lors du génocide de 1994. Il a ensuite été assistant parlementaire à l’Assemblée nationale avant de rejoindre le Cabinet de président du Conseil Régional en qualité de conseiller en charge du numérique.

Depuis cette période, il a été à l’origine de La Cantine, a participé à la mise en place de l’environnement numérique de travail des lycées franciliens, du « cloud » public « Marguerite », de la distribution de plus d’un million de « clés USB-bureau mobile en Open source » auprès des lycées et des apprentis de la Région… Il a reçu un Lutèce d’or pour son action en faveur du logiciel libre.

Il est également administrateur de l’association Silicon Sentier et de la Fing. Il est chevalier de l’ordre national du Mérite. Il se définit volontiers comme « politique et geek dans des proportions qui restent à définir » et comme le tenant « d’une science avec conscience ». Il souhaite l’émergence d’une nouvelle culture numérique qui ne sacrifie pas la mémoire du passé et qui ancre ses racines dans « le temps long ».

Il nourrit une passion pour le graphisme et la typographie (il a créé l’événement « TypoCamp ») et aime, « un peu à l’excès » dit-il, l’Helvetica.

Michel Ruffin, Manager Software Coordination Corporate CTO department – Bell Labs Alcatel-Lucent Michel Ruffin joined the CTO team by mid-2001 to coordinate the corporate recommendations for strategic software embedded in Alcatel-Lucent products. He is also in charge of the governance processes for the management of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS). He is co-leading the Alcatel-Lucent FOSS steering committee and leads the product software steering committee. From 1998 to 1999, he lead a research team working on telecommunication middleware. He joined the Alcatel Corporate Research Center in 1996 for managing the middleware working groups in the ACTS European projects Vital and ReTINA. Charles-H. Schulz (The “H” letter standing for his second name “Henri”) is a French technologist, Free Software and Open Standards advocate. Anthony I. Ce pilier de 42, « simple mortel » passionné de Kendo et de bonne chère, rappelle volontiers ses deux devises : « Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité » et « J’ai pas atteint 2 m et 120 Kg en mangeant de la salade ! »

Abderahman Zohry

Abderahman Zohry est consultant en sécurité des systèmes d'information et coordinateur local de l'Open Knowledge Foundation au Maroc. Militant pour un gouvernement ouvert dans son pays et l'adoption des logiciels libres par les administrations publiques, il a participé dans la refonte du portail Open Data du Royaume qui sera prochainement mis en ligne en se basant sur le moteur libre CKAN (Comprehensive Knowledge Archive Network).

Hugues de Maussion

Hugues de Maussion, 54 ans , Ingénieur en Electronique diplômé de l’ESME Sudria, a rejoint le comité de direction Chronopost en février 2011 en qualité de Directeur des Systèmes d’Informations. Il occupait précédemment le rôle de DSI chez Randstad où il avait mené la rationalisation et la consolidation des systèmes d’information suite à la fusion avec VediorBis. Il a auparavant occupé cette fonction dans des contextes internationaux (Suisse , Pays Bas, Royaume Uni) chez DuPont de Nemours et au sein du groupe Danone. Sa mission principale consiste à finaliser le programme de transformation des systèmes d’information de Chronopost pour obtenir un système plus agile et économique.
