Isabelle Demeure is Professor at the Computer Science and Networks Department of Telecom ParisTech (Institut Telecom), France and member of the CNRS LTCI Laboratory. She is Dean of Education of the Institut VillebonGeorges Chapark.
Isabelle earned a master degree from Telecom ParisTech in 1983, received her PhD in computer science from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1989 and her “habilitation à diriger des recherches” from Lille University, France in 2002. She led the System, Software and Services research team at Telecom ParisTech for 15 years. She acted as consulting expert for the for the French national research agency ANR (Agence National de la Recherche) and the French Ministry of National Education, Research and Technology (MENRT) for 12 years.
At Telecom ParisTech Isabelle Demeure teaches and does research in the area of distributed systems. Her main research interest is in middleware and software platforms for distributed applications with a focus on adaptability, mobility, cooperation, autonomic computing and ambient intelligence.
Institut Villebon-Georges Charpak was started with the ambition to open higher education doors more widely to students with a variety of profiles. It also aims at being a pilot innovative education center that will offer support to other higher education institutions interested in innovative education. As Dean of education of this Institute, Isabelle Demeure is active in innovative education.
